OPI's Texas Collection Review and Giveaway! -- CLOSED

Hey everyone! So my next review and giveaway is for OPI's new Texas Collection of nail lacquers. These are semi-transparent sorbet shades. They give fingers and toes a lightly glossed appearance. This means they're less creamy and thick than regular shades and very translucent. The Texas line is a huge line with a various assortment of candy-colored lacquers. As most of you already know, I'm a huge fan of OPI and have done previous reviews for them in the past. The bottom half -- pinks, purples, and oranges -- are actually the sorbet-like finish shades.

There is a huge variety of colors and shades in this collection, a total of twelve. From brown to blue, pink to purple. A perfect collection for this time of year, winter going into spring. You can continue wearing the darker shades or move into the pinks and oranges.

I loved all of the colors and the varieties but I'm saving the super bright colors for spring. It's still wintery near me and supposedly gonna snow tonight (blahh!!!) so I chose two colors to try on that are perfect for the winter. I Want to be A-Lone Star, which is a lovely pale blue, reminds me of Snow Miser in those Christmas movies. Icy, and perfect for this time of year. As well as Suzi Loves Cowboys, a dark brown, a color I've never really worn before, I never really wear browns not because I don't want to but because you never really see many of them sold in stores. I like dark colors, especially for this time of year so I tried them out, I really did love both.




Both we great, I especially liked the I Want to be A-Lone Star, it's a very pretty light blue, definitely one of my favorites. I already know what my other favorites are going to be, too. Austin-tatious Turquoise, just because it's sooo pretty, and Y'all Come Back Now Ya Hear? because it's a super bright orange, I can't wait to rock that in the spring/summer it's so pretty and cool.

I'm not sure if I'm a huge fan of the sorbet, just because I prefer the creams, I prefer when it's thicker because it only takes like 2 coats compared to at least three, which these need. I'm lazy, the quicker the better for me. Though the coats do dry pretty quickly, which is great. But with OPI in general their lacquers dry fairly quickly.

Overall though, I really do enjoy this line, I mean how can you not? It's HUGE. There's so many lovely colors, and definitely at least has a color for everyone to enjoy!
