Classico Review and Giveaway!

Hey everyone! My next review and giveaway is for Classico!. Everyone knows and loves Classico. They make quality, delicious sauces for pasta and dishes of all kinds.

They sent me their new seasonal selection: Creamy Spinach and Parmesan, yum!

They challenged me to make my own Classico Creation and I was pretty pumped and pretty nervous to experiment. Needless to say though, I accepted the challenge.

Let me tell you, I'm not a huge cook. I wish I did cook more often, but I'm too lazy or too busy, which is why I was a bit nervous. So I did cheat a little and google some ideas, but I ended up creating my own simple penne dish. Simple but oh so delicious.

Ingredients:

-A box Of vegetable Barilla penne
-A handful of fresh chopped spinach, tomatoes, and onions (optional)
-A jar of Classico's Creamy Spinach and Parmesan Sauce
-Seasoning like garlic powder or basil (optional)

1. I sauteed the veggies together in a pan with some oil. I added some garlic powder and basil to them too for some seasoning. I like adding some extra chunks of veggies to add a little fresh kick of flavor.
2. Then I cooked the pasta in a pot, as usual, basically following the box instructions. I chose the veggie kind of penne simply because I had never seen it before and it sounded really good (it was).
3. Wait til the pasta is nearly done, probably about ten minutes, warm up the sauce in a sauce pot. 4. When the sauce and pasta and veggies are all done mix them together, eat, and enjoy!

It was a super simple dish but still really, really good. The sauce wasn't too creamy but also not super thin. I hate weak sauce and this was far from it. The chunks of veggies I added also complimented the sauce, too. As their website says, the sauce is a: "delectable combination of green spinach, plump tomatoes and parmesan cheese with just the right amount of cream. It’s a deliciously-crafted homage to the fall and winter seasons." The sauce made it a really great pasta dish perfect for a long, brisk fall day, one of the first cold-ish days of the season. Totally worth "slaving" over the oven!

Overall, I really loved this sauce and Classico definitely does not disappoint! Definitely check them out, they have classic sauces like vodka sauce which is delicious and one of my favorites, or experiment with unique and delicious sauces like this Creamy Spinach and Parmesan one, you won't be disappointed!
