I know, you're probably thinking: "Teeth whitening trays? Who would want that as a Christmas gift?" I'll tell you who: me. Back in like junior or senior year of high school that was my "big gift" for Christmas, to get my teeth whitened. It's not to say I had bad, gross, yellow teeth, it's just...I'm crazy about my teeth. My one roommate who had a fancy camera suggested we take silly headshots of me just brushing my teeth because I'm so obsessed with it. But hey, I mean there's worse things to be obsessed over, right? Anyway, that's where Smile Brilliant! comes in. Smile Brilliant! is a great company that has teeth whitening trays where going to the dentist is not needed. This is perfect for a person with no insurance, once again: me.
The process is simple. They send you one package with two types of paste, you mix them together, put them in a tray and bite down. This is the beginning to create the mold for your teeth.
Then you ship them back to Smile Brilliant! Don't worry -- they have a prepaid postage envelope to mail them in. Within a few days, maybe a week you get your trays and whitening.
They also sent me my molds which look crazy and cool. I'm not sure where to put them though, maybe I'll use them next year for a Halloween decoration.
Then every night or morning, whichever is your preference, you squirt some whitening in your trays, pop them into your mouth, and wait for however long you want. It's recommended to start at like 15 minutes, test it out and see how your teeth feel after, some teeth are more sensitive than others. I put them in for 15-30 minutes.
I've been using it on and off for a little over two weeks now and it's great. Honestly, I even love using it after a day where I drink a ton of coffee and tea and my teeth are more yellow, I just use it as a touch up and boom. The gel doesn't taste weird, it doesn't mess up your teeth, it just makes them shiny and white.
It also comes with desensitizing gel, too. If you do have super sensitive teeth and have trouble whitening because of the discomfort, that's what the desensitizing gel is here for!
Overall, I really loved these. They were really easy, saved so much time than going to the dentist and worked so well. Definitely check them out! You won't be disappointed!
