Hi guys! So my next review and giveaway is for Truvia. Truvia is a natural sweetener is a great-tasting, natural, zero-calorie sweetener made with rebiana, the best-tasting part of the stevia leaf. Stevia is a plan that is used to sweeten foods and beverages, in case you're wondering. I received a 40 packet count box of Truvia in the mail.
Now I know what you're thinking, a lot of these sweeteners don't taste as sweet or as good as sugar. Well believe me this one does. Trust me, I really didn't taste a difference at all. Maybe a little bit after I took a sip but I think only because I knew this wasn't sugar and was concentrating on the different flavor. But honestly, if you didn't know it wasn't sugar you could not tell a difference. Even knowning that it isn't sugar there isn't much of a difference at all. It's still sweet and it's still great with tea.
I actually tried it with regular tea bag tea and loose leaf tea to see if there was a difference. I tasted more of an aftertaste with the loose leaf, it could be because I didn't put any milk in it though and was just the tea and the Truvia. But with the regular tea there was no difference at all (it was regular Lipton tea, milk, and Truvia).
I actually really like this and want to continue using it because it's zero calories and tastes as good as sugar. If you drink tea or coffee everyday and you always add sugar. So it's nice swapping the sugar for Truvia because although a few teaspoons of sugar isn't many calories -- it does add up.
What I thought was cool is what food products currently use Truvia in their ingredients some of them are: Dippin' Dots Ice Cream, Crystal Light Pure Fitness, Minute Maid Premium Pomegranate Tea, and Breyers YoCrunch 100 Calorie Pack. I was kind of surprised because I loveeeee Dippin' Dots and eat them everytime I'm at Six Flags, definitely not a healthy snack, haha, but hey it's nice to know they're trying to spare some calories by using Truvia instead of sugar and it still tastes great!
If you use sugar a lot and want to start living a healthy or healthier life start by swapping sugar for Truvia. It is definitely worth it and doesn't taste like crap like all those sugar imposters do. This one is legit and just as sweet! It's also FDA approved and World Health Organization approved. :)

fun fact: Erythritol is an all-natural, non-caloric sweetener, used as an ingredient that provides bulk for the tabletop form of Truvia™ rebiana. Bulking agents are additives that increase the bulk and contribute to the texture of a food.

I was surprised that rebiana has been in use for hundreds of years, yet no one had previously "tapped" this source for a commercial diet sweetening product.
