Chelsea Chelsea, Bang Bang Review and Giveaway! -- CLOSED

Hey everyone! So my next review and giveaway is for Chelsea Handler's latest book Chelsea Chelsea, Bang Bang. I'm a huge fan of Chelsea Handler what with her television show and I do own her other two books. I thought both were so funny and entertaining so I was super excited to review her latest one.



If you guys aren't familiar with Chelsea Handler first of all, get out of the rock you have been living under and watch some good television! But good television I mean E! and by E! I mean not reality shows, just watch it at 11pm at night and you will laugh a lot. Chelsea Handler is a super funny comedian and she is a lady comedian which is kind of hard to come by, not that ladies aren't funny just that there aren't many lady comedians out there. As an aspiring comedian (or comedianne?) myself I really am a huge fan of Chelsea's and I kinda sorta look up to her. Her and Sarah Silverman are my faves.

But anyway this book is great, it is a lot like her previous books but still kind of different. Still written as a memoir just like her previous books, but still a bit different. Her first book My Horizontal Life basically were short stories based on yes, her horizontal life, her one night stands and sex life. Hilarious. Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea is more similar to CCBB with that it is a variety of short stories from her life. From talking about her crazy dad to talking about her short stint in prison, it's really great. Chelsea Chelsea, Bang Bang is very similar to that but with this one she talks about funny stories that are more current, including an array of stories about her boyfriend (now ex) Ted who like owns E! and how she faked a dog's death just to basically mess with him, to an embarrassing situation about how their helicopter ride almost ruined a wedding. There are stories about when she was younger too, a lot involving her brother Greg and their drunken/high escapades. This book was so funny and it was super hard to put it down when I had to like sleep and go to work, hahaha.

Overall, this book definitely did not disappoint and lived up to expectations. It was funny and definitely made you just want to keep reading and kind of wish your life was as funny as hers or at least had a funny outlook on life and life's situations like she does. She has one story just about her sitting alone at home watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and it's hilarious! I wish I could write like that.

Definitely check this book out if you're a Chelsea Handler fan or just check it out if you want a good laugh because you will definitely get a lot of laughs from reading this!

Buy It! Head on over to practically any book store near you, I went to a book store in the sticks in NJ and they had it so I'm sure they have it almost anywhere. Or if you're kind of lazy, hit up Barnes and Noble's webite or any other book site.
