Why a poem? Well, fans like you keep telling us how much they love our chips. So we thought, why not give our loyal fans an outlet to express this love? And what better way to do it than with an Ode to Chips, a one-of-a-kind poem made entirely by our fans devoted to their love for snacking on Frito-Lay chips.
Submit your one-line poem via Twitter (or by replying to this email if you don’t have a Twitter account) in 140 characters or less and using the hashtag #chiplover to tell us why/how/when you love our chips!
The top 30 entries will be featured in the final Ode to Chips poem we publish. If your entry is one of the top 30 lines we feature in the poem, you will also receive a coupon for a free bag of Frito-Lay chips and an exclusive Frito-Lay fan t-shirt!
To get your creative juices flowing, here are a few fun facts about our chips to get you started:
Frito-Lay starts with fresh, farm-grown ingredients, making many of our original or classic style chips with just three simple ingredients: potatoes or corn, all-natural oils and salt.
Frito-Lay was the first major food company to remove partially hydrogenated oils from our cooking oil way back in 2003. That means our chips have 0 grams trans fat because we use all-natural oils, such as corn oil and sunflower oil.
Many of your favorite Frito-Lay chips provide whole grains. Most Tostitos® tortilla chips contain 8 grams of whole grain corn per serving, and SunChips multigrain snacks bring 18 grams of whole grain per serving to your diet! SunChips is also a good source of fiber.
