Canyon Bakehouse Bagels and Brownie Bites Review!

No comments:

Hey everyone! Is it just me or have you noticed allergies becoming more and more prominent recently? I remember as a kid nobody really had issues with gluten or peanut butter but now that's a huge deal. Fortunately, as our world changes so does our items and there are so many food alternatives to avoid that said gluten and they taste delicious, too! Especially Canyon Bakehouse items!

The products I received are:
- Plain Bagels
- Everything Bagels
- Brownie Bites

I loved all of these things. First off, I don't have a gluten allergy but I know people that do. Half the time/most of the time that I was eating these items I definitely forgot they were gluten free. There was no weird taste or anything to make you think that. They're also dairy, nut, and soy free.

There is one dilemma, the calories. The brownies alone, they're about two inches and contain 110 calories per brownie. They are so good though and it's very difficult having just one. The bagels actually aren't so bad and are only 250 calories each which is not bad for bagels. Just the brownies were a little steep.

Everything bagels are pretty much my favorite bagels in the world. You can't imagine how difficult they are to find in Los Angeles. It hurts the most because back in NJ I could literally walk down the street for an everything bagel, here it's not as easy. Bless Costco for selling the best ones I can find out here. These are pretty delicious, too. A little messy, the top would crumble a lot.

The plain bagels were basic, you know typical plain bagels. I'm not a huge plain bagel fan but they are pretty delicious when you have a fancy cream cheese on them like blueberry or something.

Overall, I loved these new products. They're all delicious. Whether you have a gluten allergy or just want to try something different and delicious I definitely recommend them.

Canyon Bakehouse Review and Giveaway!

5 comments:

Gluten allergies are kind of becoming a crazy epidemic as of late. I know there are some people that exaggerate the truth with their allergies but I do know a few friends that actually have developed celiac disease and other allergies towards gluten. Fortunately, because of these outbreaks many more gluten free food items have become available and are becoming more and more delicious. One brand, for example, is Canyon Bakehouse. Canyon Bakehouse sells a variety of delicious gluten-free bread and baked goods and they taste incredible.

The products I received are:
- 7-Grain Bread
- Cinnamon Raisin Bread
- Rosemary and Thyme Focaccia Bread
- Hamburger Buns

These were all amazing. I think my favorite was the focaccia just because it was a great and special treat. I never ever really buy focaccia and it is so delicious. I would just rip off a piece and snack on it in between meals. It also worked well to dip into some hummus, but I did mostly eat it solo because it was so flavorful. It is also made from great ingredients like extra virgin olive oil. Each serving has 2 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber. One slice is 130 calories which isn't bad for bread. Just make sure you cut it and walk away because I would just bring the bag with me, break off pieces whenever I was hungry, and ended up eating more than I should. It was just too good!

The first item I actually tried was the hamburger buns. I came home around dinnertime and this box was waiting for me to be opened, so it was a sign that it was a veggie burger night. The buns were great because they didn't break apart or anything. They were nice and thick. They are made with 100% whole grains, contain 4 grams of fiber, and 4 grams of protein, so it is a fairly healthy bun for you, too!

The loaves of bread were delicious, too. I love the cinnamon raisin one because it was perfect for breakfast. Just add some jam or pumpkin butter and boom, deliciousness! I also would munch on a slice jam-free as a quick, on the run snack. It wasn't stingy with the raisins either which I was very pleased about. They're made with whole grains, agave syrup, contains 2 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein, so it is not only delicious but nutritious for you too.

Lastly, the 7-Grain load which also was great. This loaf is a great go-to bread for anything from sandwiches to toast to basically anything. It is loaded with whole grains and has a touch of sweetness. It also contains 2 grams of fiber and 2 grams of protein. I personally enjoyed dipping it into my tomato soup, definitely way better than white bread.

Overall, I really enjoyed Canyon Bakehouse and their crazy awesome bread. It didn't taste gluten-free, or at least how you would expect gluten-free food to taste, it tasted like delicious, normal bread. I also liked how they all held together and didn't break apart or anything. Seriously, it all was awesome. Definitely check them out and their variety of baked goods, you won't be disappointed!
