Go Veggie Cheese Alternative Review!

I live in Los Angeles and honestly being vegan or just avoiding cheese seems to be more common than ever nowadays. A lot of my friends are growing into dairy allergies or just realizing cheese and dairy isn't the best for you and giving it up. Fortunately, we live in a world where there are so many great alternatives that it isn't impossible to survive without dairy and cheese and still enjoying similar foods to them.  Go Veggie is a great company that offers such delicious alternatives and I received the opportunity to review them thanks to BzzAgent!

I received an awesome reusable tote bag, pen, and two coupons for a free product so I went to my local Whole Foods and picked up their Vegan Pepper Jack single slices.

I have never had vegan cheese slices before so I was a bit nervous about it. I made a simple cheese sandwich first and, I have to be honest with you guys, I did not like the consistency of the cheese. It felt very weird and also broke apart easily. The flavor though was still good, so I had a different idea to try eating these cheese slices...I melted them on top of some tortilla chips, added salsa, and ate some nachos, and boy, this was a GREAT decision.

The pepper jack was spicy and added a great kick to the nachos. I only made one little serving but I definitely plan on eating more. It's super easy, just break apart the slices and top them onto the chips, put them in the microwave for like a minute, take it out, add some salsa, and bam!

There are also great benefits to these alternative cheeses. They are non-GMO, contain 65% less fat than regular cheese, 40% more calcium, and no cholesterol, lactose, or gluten. 

While I wasn't a fan of the cold slices, I loved when it melted and it felt the same as cheese then and tasted quite delicious. So if you're having dairy issues or happen to be vegan or just want to try something different and more healthy I definitely recommend checking this out.

Lightlife Veggie Dogs Review!

Summer means swimming, sunshine, and also BBQ's! I'm vegetarian so sometimes BBQ's are me just eating the macaroni salad but I usually bring my own veggie burger or hot dogs, especially thanks to Lightlife it's not too hard to find those veggie options for your BBQ's. I received this opportunity for free thanks to Social Nature!

I have had these veggie dogs before and really enjoy them. They're very easy to cook. You can either put them in the microwave for a few minutes or put them on the stove in boiling water for 2 minutes. I did the stove directions. 

I really love these dogs. They contain 7 grams of protein and non-gmo too! They're all vegan and America's #1 veggie hot dog. They do contain soy but they're only 50 calories per dog, too. Side note though: I love my hot dogs with Sabrett red onions and Ralph's had NONE. A supreme bummer, but ketchup will do. 

They're tasty but also healthier for you than regular hot dogs and super quick to make! They're perfect for your Summertime BBQ's. 

Lightlife is a great company in general with a variety of meat alternatives that are plant-based. From sausages to sliced ham they have it all! They're also reasonably priced, too. Sometimes it's hard to eat healthy because healthier foods are more money but not these guys! Another great thing about Lightlife is 5% of annual profits given back to charitable organizations

Overall, Lightlife doesn't disappoint. Definitely check them out you won't be disappointed!

Veggie Grill Restaurant Review and Giveaway!

Nasoya Review!

Hey everyone! My next review is for Nasoya. Nasoya is a great brand known for having deelicious tofu products.



I was sent three coupons and tried their Lite Firm tofu. They also have nayonaise, super hummus, and more but I couldn't find them at my local grocery so I just stuck to their yummy tofu. I've been a big fan of Nasoya for a while actually, it's my go-to tofu brand why? Just because they're awesome and yummy (yes, tofu can be yummy you just need to know how to cook/prepare it ;]).

What I love about Nasoya is they have a variety of tofu, yes all tofu brands usually have silken to firm but Nasoya even has lite versions and I love their lite firm tofu. It low calorie and and low fat which is great because although being a pescatarian it is difficult finding protein the protein you do find, such as tofu, is usually high in fat so a little goes a long way, at least with this lite tofu a little more goes an even longer way, yay!

Another great thing about Nasoya products is their website, if you ever run out of ideas of what to create with their products they have a great recipe guide for every product from breakfast to dinner, so they have you covered.

Me? To be honest, just like I mentioned in the previous post, I'm usually lazy and stick to tofu stir fry. A classic, in my opinion.



But I do plan on checking out their awesome recipes and hopefully when I move later next week my new local grocery store will have more Nasoya products than just the tofu because that super hummus looks insane and I need to try it. It's hummus with double the protein and half the fat, sounds excellent to me!
