Covergirl's Blast Flipstick Review!

No comments:

Hey everyone! My next review is for Covergirl's Blast Flipstick. You may recall that I've reviewed Covergirl before and you can check them out here. I received this opportunity thanks to BzzAgent.

I received three different colors:
Stunner
Minx
Vixen

Let me start off by saying what a crazy variety of colors. From purple to brown to gold, it's crazy the assortment of colors this collection has. I love it, especially that they're dual lipsticks. So when you don't really like one color, it actually can be improved by mixing the two together and look pretty awesome.

These sticks are made with ultra blendable formula and expertly matched shades. It also also lets you create the current "ombre" trend but on your lips.

Each stick contains one creamy side and one shimmery side.

I really liked these for the most part, though I feel like some of the colors I received didn't really work well with my skin tone. The minx is a dark brown and gold, even adding the gold shimmer on top I still looked goth. The Stunner is a bright coral and a pinkish/gold shimmer. I know the coral color alone will look nice on me in the summer but not this time of year. The shimmer I feel makes it worse on me. But I did love the vixen color. It's a nice, almost mauvy pink with a frosty pink shimmer and both complimented me very well, solo and mixed.

While I may not have been a fan of some of the colors I do love this concept. I'm sure the stunner and minx will look good once I get used to mixing the two colors and creating a cool ombre affect on my lips, I'm just not very makeup savvy like that without a little practice.

Overall though I really love this concept, it's a great almost futuristic approach to makeup. And, more importantly, it makes makeup fun again! Definitely check them out and they make great stocking stuffers too!

CoverGirl's Nature Luxe Review!

No comments:

Hey everyone! So my next review is for CoverGirl's new NatureLuxe line. I received these awesome products courtesy of BzzAgent. COVERGIRL's new luxury line exchanges select heavy synthetics for carefully-chosen natural ingredients. For a polished make-up look with a lightweight feel, every time, it's what COVERGIRL likes to call “luxury touched by nature”. Try new COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation to see what we – and make-up artists everywhere – are talking about.

The products I received were:
NatureLuxe Silk Foundation
NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in Muscat

The foundation they sent me was a bit too dark for me, so I can't really tell you my opinion of it. I can tell you that it provides a smooth, silky feel, contains refreshing cucumber water to help balance the creaminess on application, is made with hints of jojoba and rosehip extracts, available in 14 shades ranging from light to dark tones, and is oil-free, SPF 10 and dermatologically tested. It did feel nice on, but was just too dark for me to wear.

The Gloss Balm on the other hand was a totally different story. Not only did I get to wear it, but I wore it allll the time. Or at least whenever I went out. It's so great, definitely doesn't dry out your lips like lipstick but it's not sticky and super shiny like lipgloss. It is the perfect happy medium. It combines the sheer color and shine of a gloss with the soft moisturization of a balm, available in 16 versatile, beautiful shades, and is formulated with SPF 15 for added protection. The Muscat color is a nice red with like shiny gold specs in it. Not too dark, not too light so you can either wear it on a night out or just for during the day.

Overall, I may try and look for my color in stores for the foundation just because I loved the Gloss Balm so much because I trust it will work as great as the Gloss Balm. I also definitely plan on purchasing more awesome colors in the Gloss Balm just because it is perfect, it makes my lips look and feel great!

Buy It! Head on over to CoverGirl Nature Luxe's website and browse all their colors, then search for them in a store near you! The foundation retails at $11.99 and the Gloss Balm at $6.49.

CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara Review!

No comments:

Hey guys! So my next review is for CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara thanks to BzzAgent.

CoverGirl's new mascara that gives a blast of volume and incredible length for dramatic lashes with full length volume. It's their first ever volume + length mascara, and trust me it works! It has a huge super-volumizing brush and a new buildable fiber-stretch lengthening formula that work together to thicken and extend the look of individual lashes.

This is a fantastic mascara! I know a lot of people ned to get used to the big brush but I really liked it. I'm clumsy with mascara as it is but I wasn't much clumsier with the bigger brush. It actually made it easier because it's so big and has so many bristles (I guess that's what they're called?) so you won't miss a lash and have to go back to it and then crap! messing up. Because that's what usually happens to me.

The mascara didn't make your lashes clump or look messy, I actually think that the lengthening and voluminizing that the mascara did actually created a super dramatic and awesome look with your eyes.

I chose the "very black" color but they also have black, black brown, and brown. Also the mascara is only $8.99 in all stores. I know for a fact they sell CoverGirl at almost all drug stores, Targets, WalMarts, grocery stores, and much more.

Overall, what can I say? CoverGirl does it again! Easy to use and a great product at a reasonable price. Awesome!

CoverGirl ShineBlast and ShadowBlast Review!

No comments:

Hey guys! So my next review is for CoverGirl's new Blast products. I received this from BzzAgent but I figured I'd post it on here too.

I received a sample of:
Smoky ShadowBlast
ShineBlast Lip Gloss

Let me tell you, I love these! Especially the Smoky ShadowBlast because it's something I've never seen before. It's a stick but on one end it's the light shade that you put all over your eyelid then a darker one that you apply over the crease and right by the eyelashes. It's so cool. I stink at putting eye make-up on and I've always wanted to do that smokey look but just lacked the skill. This magnificent stick makes it so incredibly easy! Plus they're only $7.99 where ever CoverGirl is sold and that is pretty much everywhere. I'm not sure what color I got but it's white on one side and black on the other, so it's typically smokey, you know?

Next up is the ShineBlast Lip Gloss. Again I'm not sure what the color name was but it smelled like watermelon which I loveee and it's the very last one in the picture above. It also has a different applicator which is more of a scoop then just the regular sponge. It makes it easy to put on your lips and not just everywhere. Also I think it might limit it so you don't accidentally put on a shitload so then your lips are super sticky from the huge wad of lip gloss. I noticed though that this lip gloss wasn't as sticky and the watermelon smell stayed on for a while. I never really had a scented lip gloss before and I like it. Plus the color it wasn't too much it, not meaning to sound vain or anything, just looked good on me. It was enough to stand out but not stand out too much. These are $7.49 wherever CoverGirl is sold.

All in all, I loved both of these products, they're so great. Simple and easy to use and a very reasonable price. It just makes me love CoverGirl's brand even more.

Buy It! Just check out a store near you! Target or your local drug store.
