Kiss My Face Sun Spray Review!

No comments:

Hey everyone, are you taking in the last bit of summer before it fades away? Went by fast, but I guess it always does. But remember to always protect your face! Even if it's the last day at the beach, that  doesn't mean the sun is any weaker. Thankfully Kiss My Face is here to protect your moneymaker! I received this opportunity thanks to Social Nature. I received the product free but my opinions are my own.

I was sent their Sun Spray Lotion in SPF 30 and man do I love it!

Why hasn't anyone made a sunscreen spray like this before? Those ones in the metal containers always leave you feeling so sticky and gross, they're more similar to bug spray than lotion, but not this stuff!

Kiss My Face sun spray is paraben free, water resistant for up to 80 minutes, has hydrating protection with Hydresia® oleosomes made from Safflower Oil, has Antioxidant Defenders to moisturize your skin, and has not been tested on animals.

I actually received this the day I was going to the beach so I brought it with me. I loved how it felt, like I said it was not too sticky and really felt moisturizing. It felt like lotion and it was a bonus that it also protects your skin too! It did not irritate my skin and I did not get sunburned!

Kiss My Face has a variety of natural products, from soap to toothpaste! There is a wide selection and if their other products are as good as this sun spray you are in for a treat! Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Buy It! Head on over to your local CVS or go to Kiss My Face's website where you can purchase it online, too!

Tim Tam Review!

No comments:

I have a crazy sweet tooth, sometimes it gets me in trouble and I eat too many snacks but other times I discover some crazy awesome sweets that are just worth it. Take for instance, these fantastic Tim Tams. Tim Tams are originally an Aussie treat, now they've made their way across the world and are available in the USA!

I received their Original and Chewy Caramel.

Tim Tams are basically cookies or "biscuits" as the Aussies say with chocolate cream or caramel in the center dipped in more chocolate. They are amazing. I loved these but especially the Chewy Caramel, holy moly out of this world! They're the right amount of chocolate cookie that they just hit the spot perfectly when you're craving something sweet.

My roommate also told me about this magnificent thing called the Tim Tam Slam. This is how you do it:
1. Make hot tea or chocolate, put it in a cup, have it right in front of you.
2. Bite off both ends of the Tim Tam.
3. Put one of the ends in your mouth while dipping the other end into the hot beverage, kind of like a straw.
4. Now suck!
The cookie sucks up some of the hot beverage then just melts  and smushes into your mouth creating a crazy delicious flavor explosion.

It was awesome! I just wished it lasted longer than the one shot basically because once it breaks apart you gotta eat that baby.

Overall, these were great and I definitely plan on purchasing more when I run out. Definitely check them out you won't be disappointed!

Buy It! Head on over to Tim Tam's website to check out where you can get them or hop on over to your local Target, Safeway, Kroger, Harris Teeter, HEB and select Walmart stores for a suggested price of $3.29!

Kozy Shack Indulgent Pudding Review!

No comments:

Hey everyone, you all know I have a sweet tooth so I was very excited when I got the opportunity to review Kozy Shack's new Indulgent line. Kozy Shack creates a great bunch of pudding that I love. Their rice pudding is my go-to for pudding all the time. But now their latest Indulgent line is a huge game changer. Thanks to BzzAgent I was able to check out one for free!

The rich taste and creamy texture of this thick pudding is just what you’re looking for whenever you need to satisfy your craving for something sweet. Salted Caramel, Chocolate Truffle, Vanilla Bean and Dark Chocolate flavors are enticing enough on their own, but knowing that they’re made with simple, premium ingredients like cream and real sugar just makes them extra inviting!

It was a toss up to try Dark Chocolate or Salted Caramel but I ended up trying the Salted Caramel and man I didn't not make the wrong decision!

This flavor is silky smooth but jam-packed with flavor. It's not too sweet or too thick, it's perfect.

Each package is only 200 calories which really isn't that much considering how much of a treat these guys are. Sure it's not filled with vitamins or anything, it's pudding and you need to treat yourself sometimes or "indulge" as the name says.

Overall, I want to say I was surprised with how delicious this pudding was but it's Kozy Shack and I definitely wasn't. They always live up to reputation and are always delicious. Definitely check them out you won't be disappointed!

Buy It! Head on over to your local store and check out their new line! Check out Kozy Shack's website to see where they sell them near you!

Special K Cereal and Bars Review!

No comments:

Special K is one of my favorite food brands. I recently grabbed a trio of cereals from Costco and love them. I'm a huge fan of their chocolate covered pretzel cereal bars among others. They just have such a great variety of delicious snacks, cereals, and more that just never disappoint.

BzzAgent sent me a few of Special K's products to check out including:
- Special K Protein Cereal in Cinnamon Brown Sugar Crunch
- Special K Chewy Nut Bars in Chocolate Almond

I received these right after I went to the gym so I was starving and it was the perfect time to inhale a bowl of cereal and a bar. Man they were so good!

The cereal has 7 grams of protein, 11 grams if you add some milk to it. One serving size, which is 3/4 cup, contains 110 calories. It's a great cereal if you love cinnamon-sweet cereals and I DO, I DO, I DO-OOOO. It is sugary though and has 9 grams of sugar so be careful, don't go too crazy.

The bars are great, too. Perfect for on-the-go snacks. I like to keep one in my purse just to have whenever. Each bar is 170 calories so they're sweet and delicious but a bit steep in calories. I usually like granola bars that are 100 calories or less. Still, sometimes it's worth it for the few extra calories. These guys are gluten free, too. They also contain 4 grams of protein.

Overall, I really enjoyed both of these products. They're delicious and pretty addicting. Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Buy It! Head on over to Special K's website and browse their great selection!

Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle Review!

No comments:

Razors can be tricky, you know you think you have a good one and it irritates your skin and its onto the next one. Fortunately, with Schick's new Hydro Silk TrimStyle is here to help. This new razor is perfect and definitely my new favorite. I received this opportunity thanks to BzzAgent.

This razor combines their water-activated moisturizing serum and 5 curve-sensing blades with skin guards to help protect skin from irritation. It also has a trimmer which can be used in and out of the shower for convenient bikini maintenance. Designed exclusively for the curves and contours of a woman’s body, five Curve Sensing blades provide incredible closeness while unique Skin Guards on each blade help protect against irritation

Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of the trimmer it didn't trim much but I loved the razor. I've been using the razor for a few weeks now and it hasn't bugged me at all. It is smooth and doesn't irritate the skin. I haven't gotten any nicks or anything.

Sometimes razors that have the with a lotion around it the lotion stuff falls off and doesn't last, but, this protective lotion around stays on and continues to help the shaving process go smoothly.

Overall, I really enjoyed this razor, it's great. Definitely check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Gardein BzzAgent Review!

No comments:

I'm pretty sure you guys know this but I am a vegetarian. If you want to be technical I'm an ovo-lacto-pescatarian meaning I eat eggs, milk, and fish. But fortunately we live in a world where it is super easy to avoid meat because there's so many delicious substitutions. That's where Gardein comes in. Gardein is a company that sells a variety of delicious meatless free food.

I received a coupon to purchase a Gardein product and I ended up choosing their Meatless Meatballs. And man did I make the right choice.

I don't cook too often because I am lazy but when I do I occasionally make pasta. Sometimes you get tired of the basic sauce and pasta and miss meatballs though which is why I was super excited about these guys.

They're super easy to cook whether it is in an oven or microwave. I'm lazy and use the microwave and they came out still pretty great and delicious. They're about a ping pong ball sized. They're made with soy protein and garden grown protein.

They're only 150 calories per 3 meatballs and have 17g of protein!

So they're pretty healthy for you, one could argue probably healthier than the regular meatball.

Overall, these are delicious and I was very happy with them. I definitely plan on checking out more Gardein products because they have so much to choose from. From sliders to turk'y cutlets to barbecue wings they have almost every type of meat alternative there is. Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Clairol iThrive Review!

No comments:

Hi everyone! My next product I received thanks to BzzAgent. They sent me Clairol's new iThrive. Designed by stylists, the Clairol Professional iThrive™ line provides instant results for a beautiful future.

I received the iThrive Weather Resistant Hairspray Sample along with two coupons to purchase a full-size shampoo and treatment to redeem at Sally, so I went and purchased the Color Vibrancy Shampoo and Treatment.

The Color Vibrancy system is specifically formulated with ChromaLOCK to help prevent fading and shifting of hair color to enhance shine. It creates a shield around each hair strand to help lock in the color and add shine. Regular usage of this system strengthens hair and provides lasting nourishment for colored hair.

The shampoo you use regularly the treatment you add to damp hair and let sit for 5-10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

I really enjoyed using both of these because they didn't dry out my hair or make it feel oily. Also sometimes with color treatment hair products they smell really gross, these didn't, smelled like nice shampoo but helped with my color. It gave it an extra boost of brightness, especially because it was kind of looking bleak and fading.

The hairspray I didn't use too much because I don't really use hairspray. Also, it's weather resistant which is great but I live in Southern California where there isn't much weather to resist haha.

Overall, I really enjoyed these hair products, they work well and make my hair feel and look great!

Kroger BzzAgent Review!

No comments:

So my go-to grocery store is Ralph's, it's great and has everything I need. I had the chance to review some of the best products at Ralph's and Kroger thanks to BzzAgent

I received the following products:
- A pack of Kroger® Brand Tomatillo Lime Flavored Tortillas
- 1 lb. Private Selection™ Coffee
- A bag of Simple Truth™ Banana Chips
- A box of P$$T…™ Brownie Mix
Along with free product coupons for FREE Private Selection™ Bacon, HemisFares™ Orrechiette and Kroger® Brand Mexican Sauces.

I loved the variety of products that was sent to me. A little bit of everything.

First off, I actually buy those banana chips all the time, they're delicious. I like to mix them with nuts and make my own little trail mix. They're an excellent on the go snack that's perfect for your sweet tooth but still tastes great.

The brownie mix was simple and easy to make, all you need is an egg, some vegetable oil and water and bam. Easiest brownie mix ever and yet still just as delicious.  The coffee was pretty great. I'm not a big coffee fan, but I had my dad visit and he had some of it. He seemed to enjoy it. Simple and delicious just like coffee is.

The biggest and most delicious surprise were the tortillas. I've never seen flavored tortillas before so these were a big surprise. I made them with some bean and rice tacos and the lime flavor gave it a nice kick to them. The flavor isn't overpowering or anything it's just a nice perfect lime kick. Kind of like those chips that have a hint of lime. They're great and exceptionally delicious when making tacos.

Overall, Kroger brand items never disappoint. They're always so delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Buy It! Head on over to your local Ralph's or Kroger and browse their delicious selection!

Chobani Simply 100 Review!

No comments:
Hope your healthy eating of 2015 is going well! Almost one month down, can you do twelve? I struggle maintaining a healthy diet all of the time. My main weakness? Snacks. I just can't stop eating them sometimes/most of the time. I need to work on my portion control. Fortunately, snacks like Chobani Simply 100 help curb that urge because they come in one single serving bowl, so enough is enough when it's done.

We all know and love Chobani, they make the best greek yogurt around. But have you heard of their latest Simply 100 line? It's pretty delicious.

I received one free product coupon, so I headed to my local Ralph's and picked up the blueberry flavor because blueberry is my favorite everything. I ate it at work during lunch today and it's pretty amazing.

Simply 100 has only 100 calories and made with only natural ingredients. The blueberries are fruit on the bottom style, which I am not a huge fan of with yogurt, but this one tasted pretty good. Sometimes the added in fruit consistency grosses me out but these blueberries tasted great and not gooey.

This new line comes in four flavors: blueberry, strawberry, vanilla, and peach. You’ll be satisfying your taste buds along with your commitment to healthy living each time you reach for a scoop.

Overall, once again Chobani does not disappoint. These make great snacks to go with your salad (if you're like me) for lunch or even a late night snack instead of that ice cream. Definitely check them out! You won't be disappointed.

Buy It! Head on over to Chobani's website and see where they sell it near you!

I received this yogurt complimentary thanks to BzzAgent, but the thoughts and reviews above are completely 100% my own opinion.

Simple Truth Organic Food Review!

No comments:

It's the new year, did you make any resolutions? How about trying to eat healthy and more organically? Then Simple Truth is for you! They have a variety of honest, easy-to understand (ingredients-wise), food choices. Everything from meat to produce to chocolate and everything in between!

I received:
- Simple Truth Organic Dark Chocolate with Quinoa Bar
- Simple Truth Organic Traditional Iced Tea

Along with those two I received two free product coupons to purchase bread and yogurt so I choice:
- Simple Truth Organic Multigrain Bread
- Simple Truth Organic Greek Blueberry Fruit on the Bottom Yogurt

I was really very happy with all of these products. I was especially happy with the bread, it tasted so flavorful, soft, and delicious. The whole grains aren't so processed either like other "multigrain" bread either. I also just got back from Vermont with some delicious Cabot cheese and eating this bread with that cheese makes my taste buds just explode with joy.

The dark chocolate sounded really interested because it was made with quinoa but honestly tasted like typically dark chocolate -- delicious! These bars are fair trade and contain 55-70% organically grown cocoa. Snack on this instead of those sugary granola bars after dinner and your sugar craving and healthy eating goal both will be satisfied.

The tea was also very delicious. Ready made iced tea drinks can be tricky because sometimes they're just too sugary and not even tea-y. This one was perfect. Not too sugary at all and quenched my thirst.

The yogurt I was most worried about because I really am not a fan of fruit on the bottom yogurt. Just the fruit chunks in it gross me out for some reason, but I never had greek yogurt that was fruit on the bottom so I decided to go for it. I snacked on it after lunch at work and it was pretty delicious. Before I knew it, I annihilated the entire thing. There's not a load of blueberry chunks and the ones that are in there aren't too slimey (like some fruit on the bottom's are). Nice, delicious, and make a great snack.

Overall, I loved these products, they were so delicious. Our world is changing guys, "organic" and "natural" doesn't mean "cardboard-flavored" anymore. These products taste just as good, if not better, than their regular, non-organic/natural brother and sister items. Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Buy It! Head on over to your local Kroeger store! I bought all of my products at Ralph's. Check out SimpleTruth.com for more info.

Silk Almond Coconut Blend Milk Review!

No comments:

I was recently telling someone that I don't have much of a beverage selection for when people visit it's either water, alcohol, or almond milk. It's not that I drink alcohol a lot it's actually just because I always drink water mainly, so why have soda or juice? But I do rock the almond milk for my smoothies and cereal. When BzzAgent gave me the opportunity to review Silk's new Almond Coconut Blend milk I hopped on the chance.

Like I said, I love almond milk, it's my go-to milk because it's great for smoothies and cereal but also primarily because Costco sells a great like 6-pack of almond milk on the cheap. It also lasts longer than regular milk. I do love coconut milk too and whenever I receive a coupon to try some I jump on it because I love coconut anything.

I actually really loved this milk, it's sweeter than the almond milk but not incredibly sweet. I feel weird just drinking almond milk solo as you typically can with regular milk because it's thinner and the taste isn't as rich as milk. But, this almond coconut blend milk I can totally see just grabbing it and chugging a cup. It's so tasty. And surprisingly it has 50% more calcium than dairy milk! It also is soy, dairy, and gluten free. Although it has more calcium it still only has 50 calories per serving!

This is also great for smoothies, too, because it gives the smoothies more of a flavor kick than almond milk. I definitely plan on buying it in the future. Definitely check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Buy It! Head on over to your local grocery store, I'm sure they have it, my Ralph's did!

The Happy Egg Co. Review!

No comments:

I'm a big breakfast person, usually I choose sweet over savory but some days I can be in a super egg mood. So I was pretty excited to sign up for BzzAgent's The Happy Egg Co. Campaign! Happy Egg's actually are cage-free and delicious eggs.

BzzAgent description of Happy Egg's is: "The thing about the happy egg co. is this: their hens go outside. Every day. Turns out that’s kind of a big deal. Because while many egg cartons show hens outdoors in lush green fields next to quaint red barns, that’s rarely the reality. In fact, between 90–95% of eggs produced in the U.S. come from hens that spend their entire lives in battery cages. And those cage-free birds you hear so much about? They’re generally locked inside a barn all their lives. If you’re feeling bummed after reading all this, it’s only natural. So support the happy egg co. for the simple fact they treat their hens the way nature intended."

The happy egg co. also never uses antibiotics or hormones, and they give their girls a vegetarian feed to complement their pasture-foraged diet. Which makes the eggs even more delicious for us!

I was very impressed with the eggs, especially because they mean what they say they are cage-free, free range eggs which I mean even though it kind if stinks that we're eating future baby chickens...at least their parents are happily roaming the farm and living the good life.

Right after the gym I stopped at a different Ralph's (the first Ralph's -- my go to -- actually said they were out of happy eggs for three months) and I made a veggie scramble with two eggs and it came out delicious.

Ingredients:
- Two Happy Eggs
- Some broccoli
- 2 celery sticks chopped up
- Some grape tomatoes
- 3 little red and orange peppers
- handful of chopped celery
- 2 teaspoons of pesto

Mix all that up in a pan and bam! Great brunch!

Overall, I was very happy with happy eggs, I suppose as you should be given their name. The eggs were big and delicious. Definitely check them out! You won't be disappointed!

Buy It! Head on over to The Happy Egg Co.'s website and see where they sell them near you! Check out any Kroeger store like Ralph's or Food 4 Less!

Chobani Greek Yogurt Review!

No comments:
Hey everyone, fun fact about me I love greek yogurt. It's like my go-to for breakfast. I make a parfait type deal with fruits and oats and honey and it's just simply delicious. So when BzzAgent offered me the opportunity to review Chobani I hopped on the chance.

We all know and love Chobani but recently they came out with a 32 oz size for their greek yogurt and it is awesome. You may be worried because they're not individual-sized but you can make so much with this yogurt that it won't go to waste at all. From edamame hummus to red velvet cheesecake you can get fancy create the most delicious food. Or you can use it daily as your breakfast like I do and make some bomb greek yogurt parfaits.

Chobani is great because it is made with all natural ingredients. At my store they have the 32 oz in vanilla or 0% plain. I chose the plain because I also like adding it to smoothies just for texture and sometimes the added vanilla flavor messes up the smoothie flavor.

Overall, I love Chobani, I'm a huge fan and love their bigger containers. Definitely check them out and their website for a huge variety of recipes you can create with greek yogurt, seriously you'd be so surprised.

Buy It! Head on over to Chobani's website and browse their great selection and see where they're selling them near you!

Buitoni Review #gotitfree from Bzzagent!

No comments:

A few of my favorite foods include pasta and seafood so whenever I go out to eat at a nice Italian restaurant I rock the seafood stuffed ravioli or, when I'm feeling saucy, the linguine with octopus ink. I love them. So when BzzAgent offered me the chance to review Buitoni's new Riserva line of pastas including stuffed crab ravioli and shrimp scampi ravioli, I jumped at the chance.

I chose their Riserva Stuffed Crab Ravioli.

BzzAgent's description of their crab ravioli states that it is "generously filled with tender crab meat, blended with custom Impastata Ricotta, Parmesan, and Grana Padano cheeses and accented with classic crab cake seasonings."

They are vey easy to make, the packaging says to boil four quarts but I only boiled three and it still was fine. Once the water boils, add the pasta and it tastes about 5-7 minutes. I heated up some sauce (vodka sauce) but only about half of the jar. Strained out all of the water from the pasta, then added the sauce, and ate!

I have to admit though, I was kind of bummed with the result. I have used Buitoni before for their tortellini and that's delicious but these crab raviolis did not compare. There wasn't much crab, which is fine usually because sometimes, especially with seafood, a little goes a long way because they're usually packed with flavor. This one? Not so much. I couldn't taste much flavor at all and didn't even realize it was blended with cheeses until I read the description on BzzAgent.

It was good but I just wanted more flavor especially for the price. They're sold at $5.99 for a bag which consists basically enough for a one person meal. I definitely want to try the other flavors, especially the Butternut Squash Agnolotti when it goes on sale. I'm sure the meat flavored pastas are pretty packed with flavor more so than the seafood, too.

Overall, I do recommend the brand Buitoni as they do have some delicious tortellini that I have purchased on occasion. I just don't recommend the crab ravioli. I knew it wasn't going to be restaurant quality, but I still just wanted something a little more.

Buy It! Head on over to Buitoni's website and browse their recipes, products, and more!

Special K Nourish Review!

No comments:

We all know and love Special K, it's a great brand that always had the best snacks whether they're granola bars or shake mixes, and always the greatest cereal. Recently, they came out with some great, unique cereal called Nourish. It's a hot cereal and it's delicious. I received the opportunity to review their new hot cereal, along with their Nourish nutrition bars, thanks to BzzAgents.

The Nourish cereals I received are:
Maple Brown Sugar Crunch
Cinnamon Raisin Pecan
Cranberry Almond

The cereals comes with fruit and nut toppings you mix in to add to the yumminess factor.

Basically you open up the container, add about 1/3rd of hot water, stir, leave it for 2-3 minutes, then add in the fruit and nuts. It's like oatmeal but a lot easier to make, more delicious, and only contains 190 calories per container. Oatmeal can be good for you but in the instant kind, this is a much healthier alternative. It's a unique multi-grain blend of quinoa, oats, barley and wheat. Each delicious flavor is a good source of protein, fiber, and vitamins A, C and E, so you can nourish yourself with a warm, nutritious start to your day.

I am a huge cereal fiend, but sometimes in the morning I'm a little cold or I want something warm so this is the perfect easy breakfast I love them. I love the nuts and fruit too it's just like another delicious bonus.

The bars were pretty delicious, too. The flavors I received are:
Lemon Twist
Cranberry Almond
Dark Chocolate Nut Delight

I love snacking, especially because sometimes I have a crazy schedule where I can't have a giant meal so I grab a bar to have on the way and these are perfect. There's so many bars out there nowadays that claim they're nutritious and healthy but are packed with preservatives and sugar. These contain 8 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber also contains calcium, vitamin d, and iron.

I wasn't a huge fan of the lemon zest mainly because I'm not a huge fan of lemon flavored things but the others were so, so delicious! Such a great snack to have on the go and while the calories are a little high at 160 calories it's because it's packed full of protein and fiber. Definitely worth it, too!

Overall, I was really impressed with Special K's Nourish line, they were so delicious. Definitely check it out you won't be disappointed!

Buy It! Head on over to Special K's website and browse their delicious selection!
